The Beginning

We were able to kickoff our Ministry by turning on our website today. We are so thankful for all your prayers, as we are anxious to see what God’s plans are for us. Please take a look at http://www.africanhopeinitiative.org

Surveying and City Planning Team to Map Out the University

January 17, 2010

In February a team of 15 surveyors, city planners and architects from AHI partner Engineering Ministries International, will travel to Yimdi, Buskina Faso to expand the site plan for the Light of Hope University. The surveyors will do a detailed survey of the 500 acres that has been donated. A university of 30,000 students is the size of a town, so the city planners will develop plans for  water, sewer, electricity, roads, etc. The architects will take the preliminary drawings a little further. Special thanks go to EMI working along side Pastor Michel in this adventure.

Missions trips to Burkina Faso in March, June and November-2010

January 6, 2010

Presently three missions trips are planned to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in March, June and November of 2010.  The trips will be headquartered at The Village of Hope and we will be helping at The Village of Hope, The Deaf School, the newly planned Automotive school, the medical clinic or around the newly planned “Light of Hope University.  Maybe this is the time you can step out and make the journey.

Time to Step out...

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”

(Joshua 1:9, NLT)
