Ephphatha School for the Deaf

3 Minute Video of the Ephphatha School for the Deaf, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso

“Can you imagine being given the opportunity to hear for the first time”

Our Goal is to raise $40,000 by October 2010 to purchase hearing aids, support education for the children and to provide support for audiologists and staff.

Please help us reach our goal. École de Sourd Éphphatha is a Christian school for the deaf in Burkina Faso, West Africa.

Over 175 students attend this school, which is located in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. A team of audiologists, teachers and service providers will return to Burkina Faso in November 2010 to provide amplification hearing aids for Students and to train the staff.

  • Your donation can bring a world of sound to a deaf child where there is no access to hearing aids.
  • Your donation will provide speech and language to a child with minimal communication.
  • Your Donation can provide sign language and teaching strategies to educators with limited resources.
  • Your donation can bring acceptance to a child, who may be looked upon as an outcast, even within their own family or village.
  • Your donation can bring hope to a child, a family, a community and a world.

Your donation may even change you…

If you would like more information, or would like to be with us while these children hear for the first time in Burkina Faso in November, please contact.
